This M-1 was manufactured by Schlueter later in the war and has flexible chin strap loops. The older fixed chin strap loops would break easily prompting the change. This helmet also has a late war OD7 colored chin strap with a blackened steel buckle. The liner is a Seaman Paper Company high pressure liner with early war OD3 suspension webbing and bare steel A frame washers.
